There’s something enchanting about flowers—perhaps it's their fleeting beauty, their vibrant colors, or their sweet fragrances that seem to invite us to pause and appreciate the simple joys in life. What if you could experience all of that while surrounded by the gentle hum of nature, the scent of fresh blossoms in the air, and the warmth of a cup of tea in your hand? Welcome to our "Blooms and Tea" experience, where the best of nature and creativity meet in the heart of our farm.
A Flower Bar in the Heart of our Apple Orchard
At the start of our season, guests were welcomed into our apple orchard, with rows of 100 year old Newtown Pippin apple trees standing tall, their crisp leaves rustling in the breeze. In the middle of our orchard, we set up a magical flower bar—a whimsical space where guests immersed themselves in the beauty of fresh blooms and handpicked their favorite flowers to create their very own bouquets. This floral oasis was designed to offer a sensory escape, blending the beauty of nature with the joy of creativity.
The flower bar showcased a curated selection of seasonal blooms, allowing guests to harvest their own flowers for personalized arrangements. Each bouquet reflected the guest's unique spirit, the orchard's serene atmosphere, and the pure joy of picking fresh blossoms
Learning Through Picking: U-Pick in the Secret Garden
As the flowers in our Secret Garden reached their full bloom, we transformed the flower bar into a full U-pick experience. Last season, guests were invited not only to pick flowers from our secret garden tucked in the middle of our pear orchard, but also to learn about the different flower varieties, discover new tips for arranging blooms, and gain valuable insight into proper aftercare to help their flowers last longer.
Sipping Tea Amongst the Blooms
No floral experience would be complete without a soothing cup of tea. After floral arranging, we served a selection of herbal teas, each carefully chosen to pair with the floral aromas surrounding us. Whether it was a delicious Asian pear tea or fragrant floral tea from Paris, each sip complemented the beauty and serenity of the farm, providing the perfect moment to relax and reflect. The combination of fresh flowers and tea created a sensory experience that connected our guests more deeply to nature.
The Blooms & Tea experience was more than just a day of picking flowers and arranging bouquets. It was about slowing down, connecting with the environment, and learning about the delicate balance that sustains our gardens. By the end of the day, our guests walked away with more than just a bouquet—they carried with them the knowledge and skills to continue enjoying the beauty of flowers in their own homes for months to come.
As guests departed, their bouquets in hand or simply lingering in their hearts, we knew the magic of blooms and tea had touched them in a way that would last. The memory of that day, surrounded by vibrant flowers, the scent of tea in the air, and the quiet whispers of the farm, would stay with them long after the season had passed. And though the flower bar has been tucked away for the season and the Secret Garden is no longer in bloom, the magic of that experience will continue to blossom in our hearts until we meet again.
